The official kickoff to summer fishing begins with the largest kingfish tournament in the world! The Sixth Annual Daily’s Old School Kingfish Shootout, presented by Yellowfin, is happening June 14th at the Vilano Beach Fishing Pier.
In pursuit of the mission “to make king fishing great again”, the Old School Kingfish Shootout was created to provide every angler the opportunity to participate - and an equal chance at winning the 21’ Yellowfin Bay Boat.
The annual tournament limits fishing to Florida state waters within three nautical miles from shore with a northern boundary of St. Simons Island stretching south to New Smyrna Beach. Live bait penning or purchasing is not permitted.
The rules and tight boundaries level the playing field so that any size vessel and angler can competitively participate. The tournament even has kayaks and jet skis register! That’s why the event is a fan favorite for seasoned anglers, amateurs, ladies and juniors alike.
